Florence Foods Inc. was founded in 2020 by Mario Borsellino to bridge the gap between exceptional Italian food producers and the vast American market.
Mario draws on his Italian ancestry, with family from the province of Agrigento in Sicily who immigrated to Canada, and on his background in business, finance, and supply chain management, developed through his studies at the John Molson School of Business.
The United States is a fragmented market, with Italian Americans and Italian food lovers spread across counties big and small. Many live far from specialty stores and have limited access to true Italian products.
